Most washer service calls come down to a familiar set of failures. The washer fills but won't drain at the end of the cycle. It drains but won't spin, so laundry comes out soaking. It leaks during the wash or rinse phase. It won't start at all (a door-lock fault, a control-board fault, or a power-supply issue). It's making a loud thumping or grinding sound during spin. The cycle finishes but clothes still smell or aren't getting clean.
Each of these has a small set of likely causes. Drain failures are usually pump, hose blockage, or a foreign object lodged in the pump impeller. Spin failures are usually drive belt, drive motor, motor coupling, or imbalance sensor. Leaks are usually door seal (front-load), tub seal, or drain hose. We diagnose properly, quote clearly, then repair. No "we'll just replace the control board and see what happens."
We service Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, Kenmore, Bosch, Electrolux, KitchenAid, Speed Queen, Miele, plus the high-efficiency combo units (LG ThinQ, Samsung FlexWash). Front-load and top-load, agitator and impeller. Stackable units stay stacked, we work around the configuration.
Front-load washers from Samsung and LG have known issues with door seal mold buildup, drum bearings, and shock absorbers. We've seen them all and carry the parts. Top-load HE washers have their own pattern (lid switch, basket coupling, drive shaft). Older agitator washers are often the easiest to fix because the failure modes are mechanical and obvious.
Drain failures are the single most common washer call we get. The cause is almost always one of three things. The drain pump itself has failed (motor burned out, impeller broken, or pump body cracked). The drain hose is kinked or clogged with detergent buildup, lint, or stray clothing. Or a foreign object (coin, sock, hair clip, underwire) has lodged in the pump and is blocking the impeller.
We can usually diagnose this in 5-10 minutes on site. Pump replacement is a same-visit job if we have the part on the van, which we typically do for the major brands. Foreign-object retrieval is even faster, and we leave the pump cleaner than we found it.
Washer Repair Across Buford and Greater Atlanta
We service washing machines across Buford, Sugar Hill, Flowery Branch, Suwanee, Gainesville, Lawrenceville, Dacula, Duluth, Johns Creek and Alpharetta. Many washer calls come paired with dryer issues, and we can address both on the same visit.
For most washers under 12 years old, repair wins. The mechanical core (transmission, drum, basket, frame) is built to last 15-20 years. Most failures are wear parts (pumps, seals, switches, belts) that cost a fraction of replacement. New mid-range washers are not built better than the unit you have; in many cases they're built worse.
The exception is a major mechanical failure (transmission, drum bearing, drive motor) on a low-end washer past warranty. When the repair quote approaches half the price of a new unit, replacement is the better call. We give you the numbers, including a fair estimate of remaining life, and let you decide.
Call us and we'll book the soonest slot that works. Most calls are same or next-day. The technician arrives in the appointment window, diagnoses on site, and quotes before any work starts. Trip charge is waived if you proceed.
Every repair carries a 3-month warranty on parts and labor. If the same fault recurs in that window, we're back at no charge. Honest pricing, real experience, no upsell. We do the correct job.
